bLAKE rOSS' cONTRIBUTIONS
Blake Ross created many memorable things. One thing that he created is the web browser Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is currently the second most used browser on the internet. When it was released in November 2004, Firefox received more than 100 million downloads in one year. Blake Ross was only 19 years old at that time. In 2006, Blake Ross also invented Parakey, a user interface that allowed a better connection between the desktop and the web. This product was bought by Facebook in July 2007, which led to Blake Ross' employment at Facebook.
Because of Blake Ross' work on technology, internet has become something more useful and convenient to American society. Mozilla Firefox gave the internet another sleek, fast, and chic browser to use and access the internet. Parakey has helped the internet and web establish a better connection to desktops.
I learned one important thing from Blake Ross that will inspire my life. I learned that success doesn't come with an age. Like Blake Ross, I too can find great success in the things that I love to do. Whether it be academics, track and field, my flute, or art, I know that it is not impossible to reach success at a young age because of Blake Ross.
